NAIAS 2014: GMC Canyon Revealed in Detroit

The GMC Canyon was revealed at the 2014 North American International Auto Show in Detroit. Along with the new Chevy Colorado, the new entries to the midsize pickup truck market will go on sale this fall as 2015 models. They will be available with 4 or 6-cylinders, 2 or 4-wheel drive, and extended cab (above) or crew cab (below). The new Canyon seems to blur the lines between the full-size and midsize pickup classes with their large boxy designs and prominent front grille. It was also announced that a diesel engine will be available for both the Canyon and Colorado, however not until 2016.
